Overview

Nestled in a quiet corner of Makati City, The Thai Plate - Tejeros stands out as an authentic haven for Thai cuisine enthusiasts. This modest, no-frills eatery offers a genuine taste of Thailand's vibrant flavors, capturing the essence of street food and home-style cooking in every bite. Its strategic location at the intersection of Yague and Chino Roces Avenue makes it a convenient stop for locals and visitors craving a flavorful escape to Thai culinary tradition.

The menu is a well-curated balance of classic staples and unique dishes that highlight the brand’s dedication to authenticity. Signature items like Pad Thai and Tom Yum showcase a masterful blend of sweet, savory, and tangy notes, leaving a lasting impression on the palate. For those seeking something less common, the Kuchay Cake and Thai Pork Omelette deliver intriguing textures and tastes, echoing recipes that are rarely found in the city’s dining scene. The introduction of a breakfast item like the Crispy Bacon with sweet chili sauce hints at their aim to embrace all-day dining, complementing their core offerings beautifully.

Space-wise, the eatery is intimate and cozy, designed more for casual dining than formal meals. While the lack of air conditioning and limited seating might challenge comfort during peak hours, it adds to the authentic street food experience—unpolished but heartfelt. Parking can be tight, making it ideal for those willing to stroll in or opt for delivery, which is popular among their loyal patrons. The friendly staff reinforce a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

The Thai Plate’s appeal lies in its honest approach to Thai cooking, catering primarily to food lovers who prioritize quality and authenticity over ambiance. It serves as a reliable refuge for anyone craving genuine Thai dishes without the pretense, making it a top choice for locals and Thai cuisine aficionados. Whether devouring a solo meal of fragrant jasmine rice topped with a savory Thai omelette or sharing an a la carte feast with friends, visitors leave with a sense of satisfaction and discovery.

In essence, The Thai Plate - Tejeros is a gem tucked away amid Makati’s bustle—offering bold flavors, a home-cooked vibe, and a genuine connection to Thailand’s culinary heritage. It’s the kind of place that once found, beckons you back again and again.

My Go-To Hole-in-the-Wall in Makati! I love a good hidden gem—and this tiny Thai spot in Makati has completely stolen my heart (and my appetite). It’s nothing fancy, just a small no-frills eatery tucked away on a quiet corner, but the food? Unmatched. I always, always get their Pad Thai (shrimp/chicken) — perfect balance of sweet, savory, and tangy, with just the right amount of kick. It’s generously portioned too, so I usually end up full and happy. I’ve been getting it almost every week and still haven’t gotten tired of it. Their salad is another fave. Super fresh and light, with a dressing that ties everything together—bright, zesty, and refreshing. It’s my go-to combo when I want something comforting but not too heavy. The staff are really nice and friendly, too! It’s the kind of place you don’t want to gatekeep, but also kind of want to keep to yourself.

The restaurant’s appearance was quite unexpected, but I’m glad we gave it a try. The food is impressively authentic and flavorful. While enoki mushrooms aren’t traditionally in Tom Yum, I surprisingly enjoyed the twist. The standout dish was definitely the Kuy Chai cake—perfectly made and complemented by a sweet, slightly spicy sauce. With its great quality and affordable prices, this has become my top Thai restaurant in the Philippines. It was quite hot inside the restaurant as there's no AC if I'm not mistaken. Moreover, it's a bit difficult to park a car around here. It might be better to travel by a motorbike.

This place was recommended to me by a friend and the rumors are true! The foooood is amazing. Reasonable price. Tried out their Pad Thai, Pad Kra Paw, and Mango Sticky. They all taste so authentic and deserves the hype and love. I can't wait to try and dine in their restaurant (and take better photos lol) I heard they have free delivery too (but maybe if it's just within Makati )

The food here was great and really close to authentic Thai street food—flavorful and satisfying. The place could be better if it were a bit more spacious, and it’s best not to sit too close to the kitchen since the smell tends to stick to your clothes. Having air conditioning would also make the dining experience more comfortable. Still, if you’re after tasty Thai food, this spot is worth checking out!

This is another restaurant that is near the house. It is at the corner of Yague and Chino Roces Avenue in Makati City. There is street parking but unfortunately it is always full. They are known for home-cooked style Thai food. Most people order their Pad Thai or Tom Yum. They are also known for their Kuchay Cake and Curries. Food - 4*, ordered through Foodpanda their Chicken Krapow or Fried Basil Rice with level 5 chili (₱269), their Thai Pork Omelette (₱159) and a single serving of Sticky Rice and Mango (₱169). The Krapow really hits the spot with level 5 chili. The layers of flavor in a Thai dish blends well the heat and stomp of a good chili. The Pork Omelette is a Thai version of Tortang Giniling down to its ketchup sauce. They make good Sticky Rice which is a whole lot better than other home-cooked Thai food stalls. Parking - 2*, good luck if you could find a free space. It's best to walk to this place, take a Grab or just have food delivered to you.

Thai Plate in Tejeros is hands down one of our go-to spots! It's super close to where we live, so we find ourselves popping in pretty often. Even when we swing by late at night, the staff is always welcoming and accommodating—no rush, just good vibes. We got the Red Curry Pork, Thai Chicken Omelette, and of course, the Mango Sticky Rice (because you can't not get it!). Everything was spot-on. The curry had just the right kick, the omelette was fluffy and packed with flavor, and the mango sticky rice was the perfect sweet ending. The place has this cozy, homey vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer, maybe order another round of sticky rice. If you’re in the area and craving some good Thai food with a chill atmosphere, definitely check them out!

We ordered the Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai, mango sticky rice, and kuchay cake for delivery. Here’s what we thought: The Pad Thai was a hit—my nephew especially loved it! I really appreciated that the shrimp was already peeled, which made it easier to enjoy. He finished the whole plate! The Tom Yum soup tasted exactly like the one I had in Bangkok, which is what I was hoping for. It had the right balance of sour and spice. If you’re craving authentic Thai flavors, you should definitely try this. The kuchay cake was flavorful, though a bit too oily for my taste. The mango sticky rice was good. I just found the rice to be on the sweeter side. Overall: 4.5/5 Authentic taste, thoughtful preparation, and great presentation. Would definitely come back!

I love finding small, unassuming places that end up being wonderful little gems. The Thai Plate is exactly that. I came by for a quick lunch one day, and was greeted with a friendly welcome, fast service, a delicious Thai meal, for a great price. Nothing more, nothing less. These are the neighborhood restaurants that make up a great community.
